Applying online for prospective students

Are you interested in studying at Universität Hamburg? This page will explain how to use STiNE to apply online.

Applying to study

If you are interested in studying at Universität Hamburg, you can apply via STiNE's online application procedure. Application periods are generally as follows:

1 December - 15 January for summer semester
1 June to 15 July for winter semester

To apply online, please click on "Apply" followed by "Applying online for prospective students" (these buttons only appear during the registration periods). You can then set up an account for your application. We will then send you access details for you to use during your online application by email.

Before you fill out the online application, please read the information on applying online. You can also find further helpful tips on the introductory page of the online application portal. We recommend you use at least Internet Explorer 7.0 or Firefox 2.0 when applying online. Please direct all technical questions to: uhh.bewerbung-technik@rrz.uni-hamburg.de

Should you have any further questions of a non-technical nature, you can look up the appropriate contact person on the Admissions Team using the table on the online application information page. You can also send your questions to the Admissions Team using the contact form.

Current students at Universität Hamburg who already have STiNE access and who wish to apply for another program should log on to STiNE and go to the application section.
